Explosives and fireworks licences

A security clearance is required to have unsupervised access to explosives, explosive precursors or concentrated ammonium nitrate.  You can’t successfully apply for any explosives licence without one.

The blasting explosives user licence authorises you to purchase, use and dispose of explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances, as well as store them if authorised.

A licence to import explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances authorises you to purchase, import, store, supply and if approved, export those substances.

The licence to manufacture explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances authorises individuals and companies to purchase, use, store, supply and dispose of these substances for manufacturing purposes.

This licence authorises you to store explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances.

The licence to supply authorises individuals and companies to purchase, store and supply (including export) explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances.

A licence to transport authorises you to possess and transport explosives and/or security sensitive dangerous substances.

To purchase, use, store, manufacture, supply and transport fireworks you need a licence.

A licence is required to possess and use security sensitive dangerous substances.
